This last weekend we held two Buzz Shoppes, one during the Woodstock Lighting of the Square and one during the Christmas Parade/Kid’s Day on the Square. The weather was great, and there was a great turnout for both events.

During the Lighting of the Square, many people came through to warm up with a cup of free hot chocolate offered by the Woodstock Bible Church, and to buy amazing mini-cupcakes from Simply Kupcakes. We also had a surprise visit from one of Santa’s elves, who offered face-painting for the kiddos. As people came through for hot chocolate and warmth, they could shop everything from homemade soaps, magnets and light-up snowmen, to handbags, body washes and jewelry.

The weather was perfect for a day on the square for the Christmas Parade. We were a part of the Kid’s Day on the Square and offered free children’s crafts sponsored by the Downtown Woodstock Collaboration, which brought dozens of eager, happy little faces very excited about making necklaces and Christmas scratch-art. While the kids did crafts, moms and dads had the opportunity to relax and get some holiday shopping done. There were also free mini cupcakes samples, and a fun Spin Art Machine.

All-in-all it was a great weekend, and we look forward to doing it again next year!
